Udupi: Two held for indulging in flesh trade, one woman rescued

Udupi, Jan 4: The Udupi women’s police personnel raided a private lodge and arrested two persons in connection with flesh trade near the old KSRTC bus stand here on Wednesday, January 4.

The police arrested accused Jayanth Salian (46) and Dinesh S (42), residents of Udupi and confiscated four mobile phones, Rs 5,600 in cash and other goods from them. They also rescued a woman.

The operation was carried out based on a definite tip regarding flesh trade being conducted at the lodge. The police went to the lodge with a search warrant from ASP, Udupi sub-division 

The accused were allegedly keeping the woman in the room, using her for flesh trade and living on the money earned from it, police sources said.
