New Delhi: Govt Planning to Bring Strict Law to Rein in Pvt Schools

New Delhi, May 29 (PTI) Private school managements could face criminal proceedings for resorting to unfair practises in matters of admission, tuition fee and teacher salary as the government is contemplating a legislation to make such acts criminal offence.

The proposed legislation would be broadly patterned on the Prohibition of Unfair Practises in Technical Educational Institutions, Medical Educational Institutions and Universities Bill, 2011, already introduced in Parliament.

It would be taken up for deliberation at the forthcoming meeting of Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) here next month, sources in the HRD Ministry said.

'The Prohibition of Unfair Practises in Schools and Intermediate Colleges Bill, 2011' would seek to promote transparency through mandatory self-disclosure in the prospectus and website, providing adequate and accessible recourse for remedial action arising out of non-adherence to self-disclosed details and norms.

    ITALIAN LED UPA IS NOT ABLE TO PAY FUEL BILLS OF AIR INDIA. SEVERAL AIR INDIA FLIGHTS CANCELLED DUE TO REFUSAL OF FUEL SUPPLY BECOZ NON PAYMENT FO FULE BILLS.

    SHAME ON UPA WHICH IS BOASTING OF BRILLIANT ECONOMIC LEADERS, 43 YEARS OLD YOUNGEST YUVARAJA.

    Schools were supposed to be holy places where people get a lot of knowledge but now a days its really sad to say most of the schools practice evil ways
    when i was a student i have never paid fees in advance for a year but now incase u want ur child to be admittted in a particular school u have to adhere to their rules,pls dear institute heads note that we dont get 12 months salary in advance nor are u paying the teachers 12 months salaryin advance if u are getting interest by depositing in the bank kindly dont do it with our hard earned money we really feel hard to pay u hope u understand and mend ur ways

    Dear Mr.Sequeira, What do you mean by 'our admin'? Who is the 'your admin'- are you an Indian or not?
    Why don't you put in more effort to
    correct whatever admin? this does not apply to any particular group or only schools may it also apply to all institutions fleecing citizens and contributing to the unhealthy materialism and supremacy of 'MONEY' every where.

    First and foremost let the government deligently look at the status of its own schools. Let them run it efficently . If goverment school deliver quality goods then there is no chance for private players to go into unfair practices.
    The problem also lies with our Adminstration
