Bantwal: Absconding accident case accused arrested after five years

Bantwal, Jan 7: A truck driver, accused in an accident case that occurred at Narahari between the truck driven by him and a scooter five years ago, was arrested by the town police.

Nazar N A, a resident of Muliyaru Nellikaru of Kasargod, is the absconding accused who was apprehended by police. In the accident that occurred in 2016, the scooter rider had lost his life. Accused Nazar, who was driving the truck that hit the scooter and killed the rider, had fled overseas and eluded the inquiry.

An arrest warrant was obtained on his name by the court. Acting on a definite information that Nazar was arriving at B C Road on January 5, the traffic police team led by PSI Murthy took him into custody near the bus stand here.
