Kaup: Mortal remains of missing fisherman found

Kaup, Jan 7: The mortal remains of a fisherman, a resident of Pandeshwar in Mangaluru, who accidentally slipped and fell into the sea while returning from fishing, was found on the seashore near Kaup on Friday.

Ananda (36) had fallen accidentally into the sea at Mangaluru fishing port on January 3 and gone missing. A case in this regard was filed in Pandeshwar police station. His mortal remains found at Kaup sea were fished out of water with the help of diving experts Eshwar Malpe and Pratap Padukare using a Pursiene boat that was fishing in nearby waters.

The mortal remains were handed over to the family of Ananda after post mortem at Ajjarakadu hospital. He is survived by mother, wife, son and daughter.
