Kasargod: Tourist bus overturns, more than 40 BARC staff injured

Kasargod, Jan 7: A tourist bus from Mysuru which had come to Kerala for a tour, overturned at Panathady after the driver lost control of the vehicle. More than 40 people were injured in the mishap.

Out of the injured, 20 people have been admitted to Poodankallu taluk hospital and 10 in district hospital at Kanhangad.

The bus was carrying a group of staff from the Bhaba Atomic Research Centre (BARC) of Mysuru.

It is gathered that there were 49 people on the bus.

The locals helped in rescuing the people stuck inside the bus and took them to hospital.

The mishap occurred when the bus was on its way to tourist spot Ranipura.
