Mangaluru: Drug peddler arrested, MDMA worth Rs 2 lacs seized

Mangaluru, Jan 7: Konaje police arrested a drug peddler and seized goods worth Rs 2,06,000 including drugs from him.

The arrested accused is Manjeshwara's Gerukatte resident Abdulla B alias Saddam. He arrived on a Yamaha FZ bike and was selling MDMA drugs at Natekal, Vijayanagar.

Konaje police, on a definite tip-off, took him into custody.

The accused confessed that he had brought 8 grams MDMA drug for sale.

The value of the drug is Rs 40,000. The bike is valued at Rs 1,56,000. He has been produced in court.

The operation was led by Inspector Prakash and executed by a team of Konaje police staff under the directions of police commissioner N Shashikumar, DCP (Law and Order) Anshukumar, DCP (Crime and Traffic) Dinesh Kumar and ACP Dinaker Shetty.
