Kundapur: Native of Shivamogga kills himself in lodge

Kundapur, Jan 22: A man, native of Shivamogga, killed himself in a lodge in the city.

Sunil Kumar (39), a resident of Shettahalli of Shivamogga district, is the deceased.

He is suspected to have taken the extreme step in between January 17 and January 20.

Sunil had arrived here for the annual celebration of Nada Guddeangadi on January 17 and rented a lodge for his stay.

A case in this connection is registered by Kundapur police as per the complaint filed by Hemanth Kumar, brother of the deceased.

    Owing to covid, so many business men have suffered loss in their business. In our hsg society, one man had many cars and vehicles for tours, but during two years, his business was zero, but the EMI on the loan was just accumulating and finally, he had to sell all vehicles and wife's gold to be free from loan. He told us, he was on the brink of committing suicide, but his wife and brothers advised him and made him to console himself. Now, he has one car for tours and he is driving it himself. Even, many hotels and small establishments are closed down due to no business during 2 years and also owing to the accumulated loans which they were unable to pay back. Present days, most of the suicides are owing to inability to pay back the loans taken for business.

    another case of desperation..thousands of people have committed suicide after 2014 due to demonetization...wrong policies of the union govt led by shakha educated people...only god can save us...or only option bring non-saffron parties to power...
