Mangaluru, Jan 24: Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Abhineet A K, a native of Pejawar near here is deputed as the Aide De Camp (ADC) of Raj Bhavan of Nagaland from the Indian Air Force (IAF) and is going to complete two years of service soon.
The IAF deputes their officers for the ADC position, which involves the complete security responsibility of Raj Bhavan. Selection is made depending on the eligibility. Later, the Governor himself or herself interviews the office and deputation is done. Getting such an opportunity is very rare.
Abhineet is the son of Sudha and Ananda, residents of Pejawara Kenjaru Kaivali. He completed his education in St Aloysius College of Mangaluru and R V College Bengaluru. He joined the IAF in 2013. He is a technical officer in Advance Light Helicopter (ALH). He is deputed as ADC for a specific period.
Abhineet says, “I am happy that I got this rare opportunity. I am going to complete two years as ADC in February. The IAF gives plenty of opportunities. Youths have to take interest and join the IAF. In the beginning, there is common admission test. The main examination needs to be cleared. Later, by writing examinations continuously, there is scope to reach higher ranks.”
