Chikkamagaluru, Jan 26: Mallandur police station of the district is glittering with various paintings and wall writings.

Sub inspector Ravish, who arrived at the station a few months ago has changed the whole scenario. He has given high tech touch to the police station as he believes the workplace should be clean so that the minds of personnel who are working there will also be clean. He has not collected even one rupee from anyone. He requested the local gram panchayat and donors to come to the police station and help the cops in getting it high tech.

If one gets into the Mallandur police station he or she will doubt whether it is a police station or some other place. Ravish has got the station changed to that extent. Locals also have cooperated in his vision.

The compound wall of the police station has various pictures advising the public about POCSO, traffic rules, not to give vehicles to minors, gambling, theft, child labourers and juvenile crimes. This is done to create awareness among the public.

Inside part of the compound wall has hunting of wild animals, cutting of trees and protecting wild animals. These are drawn for the accused to repent what they have done and change their mind.

A park is also built inside the police station compound so that the public should not feel that it is a police station. Locals and the panchayat have helped the sub inspector to fulfil his dream of making the workplace helpful to the police as well as the public.

Ravish has the intention of putting up a library inside the police station. Locals have already assured him of their fullest support. SP Uma Prashant has also appreciated the work done by Ravish.

The locals also say that beautification of the police station is not enough but the attitude of men in uniform towards the general public should change and people should not feel scared to come to the police station.
