Mangaluru, Jan 28: “Panchakarma and Charasuthra methods of Ayurvedic treatment are getting popular throughout the globe. The painless treatment method for Fistula that is given in Ayurveda is not available in any other modern medicine treatment method,” said Raghurama Bhatta U, president of Medical Assessment and Rating Board for Indian System of Medicine of New Delhi.
Bhatta spoke after inaugurating Niyasha Ayurveda hospital at Pandit House on Saturday, under the aegis of Yenepoya deemed to be university.
Bhatta further said, “It is really appreciable that Yenepoya University has begun ayurveda hospital with various methods including Agnikarma and Charakarma. Students studying in Yenepoya University will create awareness about this hospital. Let the treatment available in this hospital be known worldwide.”
Music director Gurukiran said, “If allopathy is a modern method of treatment, ayurveda goes back to ancient times and is longer. This is the treatment of our land. When Ayurvedic treatment is received in a good environment, the results are faster. Yenepoya University has selected a suitable plot for their hospital.”
Chancellor of Yenepoya deemed to be university Y Abdulla Kunhi presided over the function. Prof Dr Muralidhar Sharma of Udupi SDM Ayurveda college, vice chancellor of Yenepoya University Prof B H Sripati Rao, director of Niyasha youth hostel Ramesh Bolar were present.
