Mangaluru, Feb 1: A girl was found dead in mysterious circumstances at a rented house in Kolya Sarswath Coloney under Ullal police station limits.

The deceased is identified as Saritha Varma (23) hailing from Bihar. Though the mortal remains were found in hanging condition, her hands and mouth were tied up tightly.

Saritha was living along with her two brothers and sister-in-law in the house. The incident came to light on January 30 evening.

The brothers had been for work while the sister-in-law had been to the hospital. The room owners are elderly people and they were ill. Saritha was a specially-abled girl. She was deaf and speech-impaired.

Suspicion in death

“Saritha's mouth was tied up very tightly. After the death of the girl, the girl was hanged,” informed the police sources.

It is said that a youth was bringing meals in the afternoon and dinner at the night for the house owners. After investigation, police found that the youth had entered the compound premises. After registering an unnatural death report, the suspects have been taken into custody for inquiry.
