Mangaluru, Feb 3: Congress leader R V Deshpande on Friday, February said that the Congress will commence its ‘Karavali-Malnad Dhwani Yatra’ from February 5. “The yatra will commence from the Sullia constituency, on February 6 from Moodbidri constituency, on February 7 from Kaup constituency, on February 8 from Kundapur and on February 9 from Sringeri. Though the yatra commences from the coastal region, it will visit 26 constituencies in the state,” he said.
He further said, "During the occasion, leaders will hold meetings with the Congress leaders and party workers. Their opinion will be collected and sent to the party high command.
“The Congress has given so many great leaders to the country. Many have brought various industries for the development of the region. But unfortunately, we rarely get any good news in the region. Due to certain developments, industries are getting closed down. In the past four years, the BJP has failed to take the state on the path of development. Instead, they were busy collecting commission,” he said.
Deshpande also said crores of youth are unemployed in the country. “There are problems like unemployment and price rise. People are fighting for their basic rights,” he said.
Answering a question from the media, Deshpande said, "The Congress has planned to hold a massive protest against those who will give hate speeches. We will hold protests in the upcoming days."
