Dubai: Ootre Uzwadlem - Pradeep's New Comedy to Hit Stage on Oct 14

Dubai, Jun 8: The young playwright, director and actor Pradeep Barboza's new comedy play is set to hit stage on October 14 at Konkan Yuva's event to be held in Sheikh Rashid Auditorium of The Indian High School here.

Pradeep who is based in Dubai has come out with his new play after his successful shows like 'Sangon Mugdana' and 'Soglem Dichem Devan' among others. The play is expected to create laugh-riot among the audience.

The drama is organized in aid of Sebastin Bastav, a Mangalorean youth who was the sole bread winner of a family of nine members, five of his own children, two of his deceased sister’s children apart from wife and mother. He is ailing from lung infection, kidney stone and is currently unemployed.

Speaking on the drama the ace director Pradeep Barboza commented “Although the drama will be laugh-riot, it is very well woven with a social message and hence the title Ootre Uzwadle was thoughfully selected. From scripting to casting the best talent in town has been selected and we are really excited about the drama as well as the cause. The dream of our Konkan Yuva’s Together for Someone campaign is slowly moving towards reality. This also has been one of the most exciting plays I have written till date. Moreover, we are confident that the drama will appeal to the classes and masses alike,” he added.
 
Stephen Nazareth, president of the youth association said, Konkan Yuva members will do all the hardwork with due support from Sangon Mugdhana Kalakar to present the first show of the play.
