Puttur, Feb 9: The statement given by BJP MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor with regards to the banners and cut-outs that are displayed in the city in the wake of the visit of union home minister Amit Shah to the city on February 11 has caused chaos in Hindu organizations.
Supporters of Hindu organization leader Arun Kumar Puttila have vented their anguish against the MLA and have expressed their rage to president of Mandala committee and other eminent leaders of the party through phone calls.

Arun Kumar Puttila’s supporters have put cut-outs and banners at various parts of the city wishing all success to the visit of Amit Shah. On those hoardings there are photos of district and state level BJP leaders except that of Sanjeeva Matandoor. In addition, the supporters of Arun Kumar Puttila are holding Twitter and WhatsApp group campaign to give party ticket to Puttila for the upcoming assembly elections. This development also led to lots of internal friction in Beltangady BJP.
Answering the queries of journalists about his photo not appearing on the cut-outs, Matandoor said, “In democracy all have got opportunity. As mushroom grows when it rains, new people appear suddenly during election time. But it does not last for long time.”
BJP leader Chanila Timmappa Shetty intervened and said that the party welcomes banners on favour of BJP put by anyone.
Supporters of Arun Kumar Puttila are expressing rage and are saying that Sanjeeva Matandoor indirectly compared Arun to mushroom.
