Udupi, Feb 9: Public prosecutor, who has helped numerous suppressed people to get justice, is facing hardship. His loving mother has been reported missing since the last three months and police have failed to trace her.
With teary eyes, Jayaram Shetty, public prosecutor of Udupi district court says, “My loving mother went missing three months ago. Our family members have visited numerous religious places and made vows for her return. However, she is still untraced.”
Police have utterly failed in locating Vanaja Shedti, mother of Jayarama Shetty. Vanaja was living at Varamballi of Brahmavar, in Jayaram Shetty’s younger brother's house. On November 14, 2022, she went missing.
Jayaram Shetty and his brothers looked for their mother everywhere. When their search did not yield any result, they filed a missing complaint at Brahmavar police station. However, so far Vanaja Shedthi has remained untraced. She is suffering from memory loss as well She cannot come back alone either if she goes out.
There is a national highway situated at a stone’s throw away from the house of Jayarama Shetty’s brother. Four roads get divided at the same spot. As CCTV has not been installed in the near vicinity, no clue about the timing or the direction in which Vanaja Shedthi has gone is available on record.
Jayaram Shetty has personally met SP twice and appealed to trace his mother. However, so far no trace of Vanaja Shedthi has been found.
