Mumbai, Feb 13: The 35th annual sports tournaments held by the sports committee of Bantara Sangha Mumbai at Poisar Gymkhana sports ground on February 12 were inaugurated by north Mumbai Loksabha MP Gopal C Shetty.
The tournaments presided over by Bunts Sungha Mumbai president Chandrahas K Shetty in the leadership of its sports committee president Girish R Shetty Thellar were set in motion by Dhyanchand award recipient, fast Indian runner Ashwini Chidananda Shetty Akkunji.

Dombivili regional committee president Sukumar N Shetty and Bhivandi – Badlapur regional committee president Ravindra Y Shetty were the chief sponsors.
Chief priest Vidwan Arvind Bannintaya performed pooja to various deities before the tournament. Aikala Harish Shetty hoisted the flag and set in motion the march past. Akshath K Shetty brought the sports light and Roshan Shetty brought the sports banner to the ground. Akshat Shetty administered the oath to the sports persons.
Vijay Shetty Moodubelle sang a prayer. Sports committee president Girish Shetty Thellar welcomed. Ashok Pakkala and Karnur Mohan Rai compered the programme. Dr K Shetty, honorary president of the sangha rendered a vote of thanks.
Several sports were held for men and women. Mahesh S Shetty, Rathnaker Shetty Mundkoor, Vijaya Shetty, Bharath V Shetty, Roshan Shetty and others cooperated as the judges in the supervision of Jaya A Shetty, Vittal S Alva, Gautham Shetty and Sharath Shetty.
