Bangalore: Govt Not Engaged in Back Door Talks with Ramdev - Moily

Bangalore, Jun 11 (PTI) The government is not engaged in any "back door" dialogue with yoga guru Ramdev, who went an indefinite fast on the issue of repatriation of black money, Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily today said.

"There is no back door and open door talks with any one.

Whether it is Ramdev or anyone," he told reporters here.

However, Moily evaded reply when asked whether the government has sought the help of Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravishankar for negotiations with the yoga guru to end his eight-day old agitation.

Offering his clarifications on a reported statement by Ravishankar that he had been asked to hold talks with Ramdev, Moily said "Sri Sri Ravishankar spoke to me from Berlin and also upon his return to the country and asked me what is happening.

    Mr. Leo, Canada,
If someone has stopped supporting Baba Ramdev, it is not because of his religion but because he identified himself with RSS and the BJP. It is well known that the RSS and the BJP are not less corrupt and are not innocent on the issue of black money. They do not have the credibility to fight against corruption. Baba Ramdev himself is not honest. His fight is for power in the name of corruption. Their aim was to pull down the Congress Government.

No one spoke when BJP was in power for so long and now they want the Congress government to settle the matters overnight. The overnight crackdown on Ramdev’s agitation was the result of his restlessness, lack of tact and immaturity he displayed by taking the government at ransom at the behest of RSS when it was working with Mr. Anna Hazare and party. The fight against corruption will succeed with all people’s support only when political parties are kept away from it.

do not spoil the image of whole community. But my appeal to all Indians is to stand against corruption irrespective of religion or faith of its drivers. Let's come on... otherwise
    It took Govt.
-3 years to arrest Hasan Ali,
    -2 years to arrest Raja,
    -6 months for Kalmadi
& one day to take action against Baba Ramdev. Shows the priorities of the Govt.
-In Rajasthan GUJJARS' blocked Jaipur Highway for many days.
-JATS blocked railway track 4 weeks that cancelled 1,000 trains.
-Raj Thakre spread statewide hatred thus regionalism in Maharashtra, which lead to so many violent attacks for couple of months
    No action-No Priorities
But midnight crackdown on Ramdev's peaceful Satyagrah on 1st day itself. Because he's asking black money back. See what hurts our politicians most.

No weary comments plz. You are a good man and principled too, in fact you and Mr. Anthony are the only principled guys left in the Congress now, thats why they have given you the law ministry, in fact you seem like leftists in the congress now. Cant you talk to Sonia abt her and her chocolate boy's retirement from politics and making way for Priyanka. I see some of her granny genes and shrewdness in her, she'll be an asset for our country.

Pure drama by UPA, one side sending police to thrash the non-violent protestors, other side mediating through one or other persons.

Instead Guruji, Ravi Shanker asked Moily to help him in getting this issue solved.Baba Ramdev, tasted the bitter substances in politics and for him better to concentrate on Yoga and social services.Even today Nedumidi Swamyji came down heavily against Baba Ramdev(TV SUVARNA-24x7)against him in an TV interview. Therefore it could be a wise decision on the part him to terminate fast unto death.
