Mangalore: Bishop Announces Second List of Priestly Appointments

Mangalore, Jun 12: Bishop Dr Aloysius D’Souza announced the transfer of clergies.

Fr Ivan Rodrigues who was serving in Puttur parish was appointed as Principal-designate of Milagres Pre –University College, Kallianpur, with effect from May 23, while Fr Vijay Lobo who was serving at Milagres parish – Kallianpur was appointed as Principal-designate Puttur Pre-University College with effect from May 23.

Fr Anil D’Silva who was serving at Alangar parish was appointed as headmaster-designate of Milagres English Medium High School, Kallianpur with effect from May 25 whereas Fr Valerian Menezes who was serving as assistant to Judicial Vicar was appointed as judicial vicar with effect from June 1.

Fr J B Saldanha who was serving in St Joseph’s Seminary, Jeppu was appointed as chairman of Mangalore University – Chair in Christianity with effect from June 1 and Fr John Fernandes who was chairman of Mangalore University Chair in Christianity has been given a retirement. He will now live in Pastoral Centre with effect from June 1.

Fr Boniface Pinto who was serving in Bendore parish will also now live in Pastoral centre with effect from June 1.

Fr Francis Rodrigues who was serving in Bendore parish will live in Bishop’s House with effect from June 1 and Fr Jayaprakash D’Souza who was on study leave will live in Paldane parish with effect from June 1.

Fr Richard D’Souza who was on study leave will live in Bijai parish with effect from June 6, whereas Fr Rocky Fernandes who was serving in Puttur parish was appointed as lecturer of Rosario Pre-University College with effect from June 13.

Fr Marcel Saldanha who was serving in Milagres parish, Kallianpur was appointed as administrator of Kumbla parish with effect from June 14, while Fr Alban Rodrigues who was serving in Kumbla parish will now pursue study in Pune with effect from June 15.
