Beltangady: Three of Family Commit Suicide by Jumping into Well

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (RD/CN)

Beltangady, Jun 12: A woman and her two children committed suicide in Chendebakyaru, near Naravi, on Saturday June 11.

The deceased are 32-year-old Kusumavati, eight-year-old Sameeksha, and four-year-old Sampreet.

The three are believed to have jumped into the open well near their house, between 11 am and 6 pm on Saturday.

Kusumavati husband Sadanand Poojary is an electrician and had left for work early morning on Saturday.

Sadanand wife, two children, three brothers, one sister-in-law, and elderly parents, all lived together.

All other family members had gone to visit Sri Kshetra Subramanya Kukke in Puttur around 10.30 am on Saturday. When they and Sadanand arrived home on Saturday evening, Kusumavati, Sameeksha and Sampreet were missing. They lodged a complaint at Venoor police station in this regard.

When the family went searching for the missing members in the plantation around the house on Sunday morning, they saw the bodies floating in the open well. The jewellery of the deceased was also found near the well.

Venoor police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating further.

Very sad indeed. For sure, this is not a suicide. No mother would kill her children. The trace to tackle the code is why all family members left for temple leaving behind kusumavati and children??? Is it not preplanned. Why she is not taken along??/ Something fishy and the finger points to her husband and the other relatives. Its an insider job and no outsider is involved.... For sure its not suicide but a murder....Police and authorities should investigate and letus know.....

If readers can do such expert comments that too in little bit info provided in this article, then police or experts can grab the culprits quickly. Lie detection test and simple cross exam, postmortem report can lead to solve pretty straight forward case.
Murder suicide can never be the solution under any circumstances as guilty conscious always haunt the murderer till his death

If any one is committing suicide jumping into the well normally it takes 24 hours for a Body to float. until then the body will not will not float.

Here the body is floating right away, so its cut and clear that she was Murdered and thrown into the well.

Very sad news! At the sametime very suspicious. Chitra Gupta has raised some valid questions. It also seems bodies were floating. Post-mortem report should answer murder/suicide issue if carried out correctly. Meanwhile it is better for us to pray for them.

Search into house first for traces on either cloths or pillows as they suffocated first before dumping into the well.

Joint family. Husband Sadanand, wife, two children, three brothers, one sister-in-law, and elderly parents, all lived together in the same house. Is this deceased/murdered woman had any freedom in that house?
It is disgusting to note even today the woman has to bear all ill from her in laws and many cases, husband's importance is with the mother and not to his wife and children.
When our sister's/daughters getting married, we want them to stay seperate with their husband and when our own brothers/ son's getting married, we want them to stay in the same house.
Unfortunately Kusumavati, her eight-year-old Sameeksha, and four-year-old Sampreet has lost their life. All circumstances leads, it is murder.
May their soul rest in peace.

This news is Very tragic and heartbreaking. The kids who were suppose to play, grow, and enjoy the school and world are killed and the mother who gave birth, did very unacceptable act. It is very scary to take our life and as I believe in God our life must be taken by him only. Any how some time and some people fall in devil’s act, we are helpless in that case but we can pray. Have mercy on them almighty God and take them in to your kingdom.

Present world is fully materialistic and selfish and ruthless. Suicide is a last resort when a person finds he is cornered from all sides and there is no HOPE! May their souls rest in eternal peace! People talk, but nobody comes to help when the crisis arises. In hindsight it is very easy to comment but the victim only knows!

Women should have more patience than men. Difficulty is there in every family. They should think about after effect if they go for such act. Good women is like godess on earth in different capacity. We all call mother god. I only pray peace to their soul. Why also together with children? Why they should lose their young precious life? Destiny.

All other family members had gone to visit Sri Kshetra Subramanya Kukke in Puttur around 10.30 am, why they Left woman and her two children . How the family members suddenly come to know that woman and her two children are missing, if they don’t be there at home, may be gone out for any reasons. And if they are not returned why family members complained to police so fast, these are labor class People or farmers, why the family went searching for the missing members in the plantation? I feel this woman is murdered between 11am to 6 Pm. And that time children were present and might have seen this so they also murdered. OR Both children can be seen in good dress so here may be, woman murdered when children at school and later Children pushed to water .and the jewellery of the deceased was also found near the well. It means murders wants to clear that its suicide, Good Criminal Mind

This is the fate of women in India.
harrasment at home or at the workplace. If she complains... family members think she brought family name down. she must have thought best way is to die and finish her problems off. who has seen what is after the death... we just believe.
