Kuwait, Feb 23: Shirva Welfare Association Kuwait (SWAK), held its annual general body meeting at Alban D’Souza’s residence – Salmiya here.
The meeting commenced with the opening prayer led by Clifford DSouza and a welcome note by president Gilbert Mendonca.
Secretary Felcita D’Souza read out the annual report featuring the events of the past year. Likewise, treasurer Roshni Lobo briefed the association members information on the financial statement.
President Gilbert Mendonca set out the agenda for the meeting to discuss other important topics related to the welfare of the association.
In the second phase of the AGM, existing committee was dissolved and requested the election commissioner Clifford D’Souza to conduct the election process to form a new committee for the period 2023-24.
Dynamic Alban D’Souza was re-elected as the president of the association after a gap of 2 years.

Outgoing president Gilbert Mendonca expressed his gratitude for the support extended to him during his term and pledged to guide and motivate the new team headed by Alban D'Souza. He also handed over all the president related responsibility documents to the new elected president.
The newly elected president Alban D’Souza recalled many notable contributions towards society in native place by the members of SWAK. He welcomed all the association members and pledged to take the team to greater scales involving social responsibility.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Adrian Gomes.
