Mangaluru, Mar 2: MLA D Vedavyas Kamath, representing the Vidhan Sabha south constituency, announced that the groundbreaking and inauguration of Rs 315 crore worth of development projects will take place on Sunday, March 5. Speaking at a meeting held in the Smart City office auditorium on March 2, Kamath emphasized that both the central and state governments are committed to the all-round development of Mangaluru.
The projects to be launched include the construction of a central market costing Rs 114 crore, development of water resources regions costing Rs 140 crore, Sultan Battery Pedestrian Hanging Bridge works costing Rs 45 crore, and the Kadri road project costing Rs 16.5 crore. The inauguration ceremony will be attended by the district in charge minister, MP, and elected representatives.
Mangaluru Mayor Jayananda Anchan, Deputy Mayor Poornima, Mangaluru corporators Premananda Shetty, Diwaker, Bhanumathi, Kishore, Jagadish Shetty, Shakila Kava, Mangaluru Smart City Limited technical division general manager Aruna Prabha, executive engineer Lingegowda, Chandrakanth, and others were present at the meeting.
