Puttur: CEO of Arlapadavu C A Bank dies in police jeep-bike collision

Puttur, Mar 6: On the night of Sunday, a tragic accident occurred near Sampya on the Mani-Mysuru national highway, resulting in the death of a bike rider.

The deceased has been identified as Laxmana Naik, the CEO of C A Bank at Arlapadavu, and a resident of Kote under Panaje village. Naik was traveling towards Arlapadavu when a police jeep collided head-on with his bike while approaching Puttur from the opposite direction.

Naik is survived by wife and two daughters. It is said that the police jeep belonged to DAR. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.

    Most of the accidents happen due to high speed These bikes are not meant for Indian roads. We can avoid accidents only if the bikes are set for a speed of not more than 60 kmtsph

    Unless the road works on the highway is not speeded up, these accidents shall keep taking innocent lives.
