Bantwal, Mar 7: Fire broke out in a house at Chandtimar near Jakribettu in the taluk due to which the kitchen and store room were completely gutted on the night of March 6.
The house belonged to Monappa Poojary, resident of Chandtimar. It is said that the fire was accidental. Two vehicles of fire service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control due to which other part of the house was saved. No other damage has been reported.
The fire rescue operation was done under the leadership of district fire service officer Bharat Kumar.
