Mangaluru: Prostitution racket busted, woman kingpin arrested

Mangaluru, Mar 8: A prostitution racket was busted by city police at Vijethanagar near Pandith House late night on Tuesday March 7.

The arrested is identified as Rukiya (50), a resident of Bolanthur, Bantwal. On a definite tip-off, police conducted the raid on a house and arrested the lady who is said to be the kingpin of the racket. One more accused Abdul Lateef is absconding.

Three male customers were also taken into custody and four girls were rescued.

As many as 3 two-wheelers, 9 mobile phones, cash Rs 5000 total worth Rs 1,76,580 were seized.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of ACP Mangaluru South sub division, Ullal inspector Sandeep GS, PSI Manjula and Ullal police station constables.
