Bantwal, Mar 9: A second PUC student has killed herself by hanging in Bantwal town, within police station limits, on March 9.
The deceased is Vaishnavi (19), daughter of Chandrashekar and Soumya, resident teachers of Balthila.
Vaishnavi, a Sanskrit student, was preparing for the examinations that were due to start tomorrow. Her mother had called their neighbors to check if their daughter was studying. However, upon investigation, the neighbors found that her room was locked, and she had committed suicide by hanging.
It was reported that Vaishnavi had been mentally tense for the last few days and had been receiving treatment from a doctor. Her father, Chandrashekar, is the principal of Ramakunjeshwara Pre-University College, and her mother, Soumya, is a teacher at Kalladka Sri Rama PU College.
Vaishnavi was a PUC student at Kalladka Vidyakendra and was a topper in her class.
