Mangaluru: Senior civil contractor hit by speeding train, dies

Mangaluru, Mar 10: A senior civil contractor died as a train hit him on Thursday March 9.

The deceased is identified as Janardhan Achari (78), a resident of Ullalabailu cashew research centre vicinity.

Achari’s mortal remains were found on railway tracks near Kapikad. He went out of the house on the morning. He was a civil contractor and had provided job to more than 100 labourers. He was the active member of RSS also.

Achari was suffering from ill health since some years. He is survived by two sons and a daughter.

    must have lost hope...like many other Indians who are coming to know that the nagpur gulams are only good in hoisting their flag and saying their anthem and not national one...

    We are witnessing increase in number of people dying on the railway tracks... Either people are distracted by somethings like mobiles or financial worries clouding their minds.... RIP to the departed senior soul....
