Mangaluru, Mar 11: Students who will be writing SSLC examinations this year will be allowed to enter the hall 15 minutes before the start of the exam. Earlier, they were allowed to enter just five minutes earlier.
Some unique changes are done this year with regards to SSLC examinations. A high level meeting is already held with respect to the safety of question papers and examination centres. The fear and anxiety faced by students as they get just five minutes time before the beginning of the examination was also discussed and accordingly the time was increased to 15 minutes.
The department officials said that a cyber-team will be formed to keep rumour mongers on social media at bay. Sudhakar, deputy director of public education and literacy department said, “All preparations are underway to monitor every aspect of examination. The chief superintendent for each examination centre is also nominated.”
The SSLC examinations will be held from March 31 to April 15 this year. Dakshina Kannada has 98 centres. Bantwal has 17, Beltangady 14, Mangaluru north 19, Mangaluru south 22, Moodbidri five, Puttur 15 and Sullia has six centres. In total, 29,572 students will write the examinations.
