CM-HDK Dharmasthala face-off Irks Ministers

Bangalore, Jun 19, DHNS : Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s decision to take his fight with JD(S) leader H Kumaraswamy to the Dharmasthala temple has not gone down well with a section of his partymen.

According to party sources, several ministers are unhappy that Yeddyurappa had taken such a ‘political decision’ without consulting the party.

The chief minister is presently undergoing treatment at Kottakkal Ayurvedic Vaidya Shala in Kerala.

A minister said on condition of anonymity that Yeddyurappa had embarrassed the government and the party by taking an arbitrary decision. There is already criticism that the advertisement to score a personal point has been released through the Information Department utilising the taxpayers’ money, the minister said.

However, none of the ministers came on record expressing their displeasure.
Replying to queries from reporters, Home Minister R Ashoka said on Saturday that Yeddyurappa’s integrity as a chief minister had been questioned, and hence he had to release his statement through an open letter.

The Home Minister, however, had no response to a question why the BJP had not released the advertisement instead.

When contacted, State BJP president K S Eshwarappa said Yeddyurappa had no choice but to go to a temple to prove a point because the JD(S) had no belief in the democratic system. “The JD(S) kept off the legislature. It made allegations against Yeddyurappa in courts and Lokayukta. But it could not prove the charges. The JD(S) was rejected by the people in the elections, but it keeps making allegations in the media. Where else can Yeddyurappa disprove these allegations? As a last resort, he decided to take the matter to a temple. Those who have uttered lies will pay a price.”

Asked whether he would be present at the temple, Eshwarappa said he had not taken a decision yet.

‘Immature behaviour’

Terming Yeddyurappa’s challenge to Kumaraswamy as immature and juvenile, State Congress president G Parameshwara on Saturday condemned the chief minister for putting out an advertisement by spending over Rs 80 lakh of the taxpayers’ money.

Parameshwara said it was unbecoming of a chief minister to wash the dirty linen in public by misusing the taxpayers’ money. “If Yeddyurappa felt that Kumaraswamy’s allegations were baseless and false, he should have initiated legal action against him by filing a defamation suit. Or else, he should have sent him a notice seeking a clarification or an apology,” he said.

On June 15, Kumaraswamy’s camp had issued a veiled threat to the BJP government saying it would expose the BJP’s “double standards” on corruption, ahead of the party’s national-level campaign beginning June 24 against the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government. This triggered a spat between Yeddyurappa and Kumaraswamy.

The Chief Minister is expected to return to Bangalore on Monday.

In this oath politics Yeddy has nothing to lose? Already in the past during parliamentary elections he made oath on God and told his son will not contest the parliamentary election, but later he got ticket and elected. These types of oaths are not new for Yeddy, off course, it matters a lot for Kumanara swami if he takes a false oath. Best of luck to both as there is nothing else to do than Kar-Nataka.

What a disgrace we have such leaders. I remeber when i was in Kindy we use to swear on God.
These whips are worse than the children in Kindy school.
As it is god is too busy with his own work as he has to manage many more guys like these 2.
I wonder if some leaders in EU or the developed world read all this shit what will they wonder???
A few days back an American Democrat Congress man sent a few obscene pics of himself to many women on face book. He resigned as he said he was guilty. What ever happens our leaders will never acknowledge their guilt and more over they will run to temples and sewar on god.
Few days back Shoba also did the same thing by saying i will swear in front of some god ....eshwara.
    This is the height.

Time had come for Hindu Citizens to wake up, and beat both these useless leaders. How these TWO Hindu leaders blame and give all stupid statements and agreed to take face to face fight such rich religious place. God gave this world to us and every one must enjoy it in right way not cheating and hurting others. Now if both started to promise and tried to defend themselves what will be the image of Dharmasthala Temple?

Dear Hindu friends please keep the place as sacred by NOT allowing these evil political leaders for their benefit. Throw the stones on them till they die.

I think Dr. Veerendra Hegde should not BAN these politicians by entering into such a great place. They will even corrupt the value of the temple too.. People will loose faith on these temple if it becomes the place for corrupt politicians. We have judiciary sytem.. When someone go for judiciary Yeddy will bring stay order ... rather than this fooling business let Yeddy face the court and prove his true color. Escaping from the arms of law by means of Stay order and misusing the temples for looting is utter foolishness.. Again fooling people...

I doubt CM's state of mind and the way he behaving in public life gives room to criticize him even from his friends.H.E. Shri Keshtra Dharmadhikari Dr Sri D Veerendra Heggde must put off(use his good office with both present and past CMs) this un professional, unnecessary and uncalled for 'AAAAANE' to avoid embarrassment in national level.

I say this once again Dharmadikaari Dr Virendra Heggade should put a entry ban to Dhramsthalar for these two shameless people for getting the sanity of Dharmasthala to the streets because of the dogfights between them. I know practically its not possible but one call from Dr Heggade, like Anna would make people throw chappals at both of these two people if they are seen anywere atleast in Dakshin Kannada and hensforth make people think twice before washing their dirty lenin in public in the name of Lord Manjunatheshwara.
