Mangaluru, Mar 13: Two youngsters from the city have comes up with an innovative idea and invented use and eat cups, spoon and straws.

One can see plastic cups and straws are used to drink beverages which are harmful to the environment and health too. Keeping this in mind, two youngsters Deekshith and Dheeraj, have invented cups, spoons and straws which can be used and then consumed as well.

Cups, straws, ice cream bowls and spoons are made out of rice powder, ragi, water, maida and sugar and a manufacturing unit set up at Angamali in Kerala. Two youngsters have an idea of starting the same in Mangaluru as well.

The duo has manufacture 100 ml cup, four flavours of ice cream cups, five flavours of spoons which are 6.5 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm in measurement. They have named the product ‘Yenchi Crunchy’.

The response for the product is positive. Such products can be used in hotels, hospitals where plastic cups and straws can be avoided. After using the cups, spoons and straws, one can eat them as well.
