'Not adopted entire Hindu society but only protecting it’, says K S Eshwarappa in Udupi

Udupi, Mar 14: “We have not adopted the entire Hindu society, we are just taking measures which are needed for the protection of the Hindu society,” said Eshwarappa, BJP leader and Vijay Sankalpa Yatra in-charge of the district.

Answering mediapersons’ question about Hindu leader Pramod Muthalik contesting from Karkala, Eshwarappa said, “In a democratic set up, anyone can contest elections from anywhere. He might be a Hindu leader, but we have not adopted the entire Hindu society. We have made all the efforts for the protection of the Hindu society. Others also can take the initiative. People will decide and vote. He is not in the BJP. Congress will utterly fail in its workings.

“Siddaramaiah has visited Udupi many times but never felt like visiting Sri Krishna Math at least once. There is an integral bond between Krishna and Kanakadasa, Krishna inspired Kanakadasa. But I never know why Siddaramaiah was not inspired. In the beginning, Siddaramaiah used to criticize temples and Hinduism. But now he has almost stopped it. He did not visit the Math when he was the chief minister. I think, due to the curse of Sri Krishna only, he must have lost Chamundeshwari constituency and the chief minister’s post. He must visit the temple now at least and something good may happen to him.”

Eshwarappa reinstated his stand on Azaan saying, “The views I expressed are of the general public and not mine. Exams are being conducted for students in the state and if at this time, Azaan is being played four to five times a day, how will the children study? This is also creating problems for general public and hospital patients. Everyone has appreciated my stand.”

Kuilady Suresh Naik, BJP district president, Raghupati Bhat, MLA Udupi, S Angara, in-charge minister, Udupi and other party leaders were present.

Eshwarappa should not get into any support for minorities. Not one of them vote for party any which ways! Focus on core vote bank and on development. The corruption charges levied by congressis masquerading as contractors need to be erased by truth.

Eshwarappa and BJP have done the appropriate thing here. Even Congress does the same as they appease a certain community and go by the narrative 'minorities are in danger'. Both parties fan communal passion. Nobody is a saint in politics . Go with AAP for a change if you want one and give them a chance. Or choose from the 'better of 2 evils'. LIke someone said below.

We have become successful engineers and doctors... Excuse of children not able to study is ridiculous.... Thank God he is old now and bajapa may no longer let him a ticket further... They may only allow him to bark.....

Dear Eshwarappa, your comment on azaan is pointing to your party's attitude. Your party is ruling nation and state. You have to explain what steps govt has taken to solve the problem.

MY DEAR ESHWARAPPA listen carefully, you are doing harm to our party (BJP ) please do not think that, if you create problems and made inflammatory speeches than it is nothing but creating un necessary problems and i dont think that you will get the ticket for the coming election. you are already settled and do not create panic between the religion. also people knows what is your intension now. hard work for the party, we will appreciate you, but do not create tension between the religion. no more to say

Unfortunately,, the opposition lacks spine to counter such elements. No wonder the types of Eshawarappa are flying high and talk xhit. Max you can expect a press conference being called and some erratic statements that will surely end of up in a self goal . People will then have to chose between 2 evils.

We don't need protection from BJP. Hindus are not in danger. It's these politicians making us insecure. Religion is just for vote bank for these kind of politicians. If you are really protecting hindus then did you atleast tried to give justice to Kavya Poojary's family (if you have forgotten let me remind you that Kavya was studying at Alvas Moodbidre and she died in mysterious condition)..
