Udupi, Mar 16: With the rising temperatures in coastal Karnataka, the Udupi district administration and education department has issued precautionary measures to be followed by the schools for the children.
As per the circular, children are banned from playing in outdoor grounds between 11 am to 3 pm. Students are advised to drink more water and avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
The department of public instruction has issued these directions through the BEOs of the district to all the schools. School heads, teachers and parents are advised to make arrangements for providing proper drinking water facilities for school children.
As the examinations are already underway, it becomes most important for keeping children hydrated. Mid-day meal staff are advised to make facilities for proper ventilation during the preparation of mid-day meals.
The department has also asked the schools to file a report about the measures taken.
