Why is Maya Mum on 'Murder'?

Daijiworld Media Network

Lucknow, Jun 24: With criticism mounting on Mayawati over the death of former CMO Dr Y S Sachan, who was found hanging in the jail toilet on Thursday June 23, several questions have been asked in the media, chief of which is why the top officials are silent on the issue still.

Though on the basis of evidence officials have confirmed that Dr Y S Sachan's death is a case of suicide, family members of  Dr Y S Sachan and opposition leaders are demanding a CBI enquiry, alleging that the officials are trying to close the file.

It is reliably learnt that family members have decided not to conduct the funeral of Dr Y S Sachan until the CBI enquiry is ordered.

"Why is Mayawati against CBI enquiry? Is she afraid of truth? Why is she not speaking on this issue? None of the top officials who are responsible are giving any statement, which shows their lack of interest investigating Dr Y S Sachan's death," the family alleged

"Even the postmortem report says that it was not a case of suicide, but the arrogant government wants to close the file as soon as possible," they said.

Mayawati's silence is an indication that she does not want to find out the truth, said one of  Dr Y S Sachan family members speaking to the media.
