Mangaluru, Mar 27: Sudarshan Moodbidri, the district unit president of BJP, stated that the BJP government in the state, led by chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, has executed various development programs for the welfare of Other Backward Classes, hence ensuring justice for the oppressed classes in the state. He added that this would secure the support of the OBC community for the party in the forthcoming legislative assembly elections.
Moodbidri also expressed confidence that the party would win all eight constituencies in the district and come to power in the state. Responding to media queries, he revealed that the government had abolished the 4% reservation granted to Muslims, citing that the BJP does not practice appeasement politics and that such a reservation was instituted solely for political gain.
Furthermore, Moodbidri emphasized that the BJP is a cadre-based party, and party workers are committed to working tirelessly for the party's victory in the elections.
MLC Prathap Simha Nayak, MUDA chairman Ravishankar Mijar, and other party members were present at the event.
