Some Mutts, Temples Hoarding Huge Amounts of Black Money: Governor

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Jun 26 : H R Bhardwaj, governor of Karnataka is in the news again, but this time not over Yeddyurappa.

This time it is regarding black money, but not of the UPA government or the Swiss Bank, but of temple and mutts. He has accused some of the mutt and temple heads of possessing huge amounts of black money, which has not been used for any developmental or charity work.

He was speaking at a private programme in Bangalore while distributing awards to teachers and NCC students at Jeevan Bhima Nagar's NAB Commercial College.

"The mutts and temples are doing a lot of good work, but a huge amount of black money is not being used for people-friendly programmes. I advise them to use such money for good causes, instead of hoarding it."

"I don't say that all the mutts and temples are doing this, but it's come to my knowledge that there are a good number of such institutions around us indulging in it. Unfortunately the government is also releasing money to such trusts, who use charity tags for personal benefits."

But he praised Tumkur Siddaganga seer Dr Shivkumara Swamiji who has provided free education to over 10,000 students in his mutt.

The governor’s comments would have come in the context of recent happenings in Sai Baba Ashram and in the case of Baba Ramdev. If it is so, he is right in his observations.

    Dear Readers
Let’s accept the Fact – We are collectively responsible for the creation of black money. Take simple examples – How many times we have not taken the bill because we have to pay some extra taxes? How many of us pay the bribe to get licenses, water connections etc? We also engage in bribing to hide the illegal activities such as violation of building construction laws, not wearing helmet, no pollution check certificate, overloading the buses/trucks so on. We also buy/sell land and apartments but when we register the transactions at less than the actual values to save stamp duty. The list is never ending.
This is how the black money is being created. We have to change from within before we can point fingers at others. Lokpal bill or protests are of no use if we continue the same attitude.

‘People who stay in glass houses should not throw the stones at others’.

H.E. H R Bhardwaj, governor of Karnataka is absolutely right. Paying money on election note to temples and mutts by the C.M. must be stopped by the election commission.

Looks like HH Bharadwaj woke from his slumber...Why Mutt or temple? How about black money in real estate? What about the black money hoarded by politicians, business, and bureaucrats ? Mr Bharadwaj should look into his own family and probe the mining deals about his son and check the source of his black money...This shameless man has lost all his credibility

It is well known fact that Government is earning lot of money from Temples. Whether that money needs to be used only to subsidize Hajj pilgrims?. Yeddyurappa government in Karnataka is really doing good in this aspect. He has approved a special grant of Rs 50 crore for the welfare of the Christian community, Hajj pilgrims are getting subsidy, and temples are also getting money for the development. HR Bharadwaj is blind and he is not aware of all these facts.

Politics aside, all religious shrines should be accountable of their donations and the donors. It is very interesting to note that the one who is very notorious in amassing ill-wealth are the liberal donors of a portion of their ill-gotten wealth and bribe the God so as to get their sin wiped out. Any donations received above Rs. 100 by any shrines should be accountable with name, address, PAN Card No. etc and the shrine authorities should issue detailed receipts for the received donations. Even materialistic donations like gold, silver, precious stones etc should be evaluated to present market rate and entered in the shrine donation log book of their quality, quantity and value and the receipt for the same should promptly be given to the donor by the shrine treasury.

No doubt about this ... What with the largesse extended to mutts by Yeddyurappa. This CM and BJP have no moral right to speak about corruption and inflation. Why the BJP government has the highest prices for petrol and diesel in India ? Why can't they show their pro-people sentiment by reducing state taxes ? Why can't Yeddyurappa reduce the VAT %, which is 1% higher than neighbouring states ? This is pure (financial) plunder of the people of Karnataka in addition to the plunder of the state through illegal mining.

It is well known fact, but getting highlighted again after the Sathya Sai episode. Why was the need to hoard so much of cash in the private room when they say everything is transperent and true? All these so called mutts and other religious congolomerates (irrespective of religion) are disguises for collecting and hoarding money in the name of the unknown. There are millions of gullibles along with the rich and famous in India who fall prey to these divine places and part with their hard earned money for wishes granted!!!!

IT IS TRUE THAT REGARDLESS OF RELIGION, MANY MUTTS-TEMPLES ARE DOING THIS. FOR EXAMPLE SEE SATYA-SAI TRUST, RAMDEV AND SO ON. WHY ALL THESE ARE COMING UP NOW? WHY SANYASIS NEED WEALTH, MONEY & PROPERTY? THIS IS ALL FRAUD. WHERE IS NOW ANNA-HAZARE NOW? WHAT IS HIS AGENDA AGAINST THIS TYPE OF FRAUD & CORRUPTION?

Finally HH Bharadwaj woke from long sound sleep after he failed to dismantle BJP Government in Karnataka. But as usual, he never talks about UPA Government’s Black Money and 2G Scandal instead he will target now Hindu Mutt and Temple which is freely available anywhere in India to blame without any resistance. But respected Bharadwaj, by mistake please do not take names of any Church or Masjid Trust to talk about else you will pay heavy price
