Udupi, Mar 30: “We have made all preparations for the upcoming legislative assembly elections. BJP will definitely get a clear mandate. SCs, STs and OBC communities will stand by BJP,” said MLC and Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.

Srinivas further said, “Pre-poll surveys are just surveys. BJP will surpass the surveys and get a clear mandate. After Devaraj Urs, BJP has put its hands into the beehive called reservation.Yediyurappa and Bommai governments gave good news to all communities. We have strengthened the backward communities by giving 17% reservation. During the regime of Yediyurappa and Bommai, we have formed 20 corporations. There was no clarity on the reservation based on religion. Reservation of minorities was not withdrawn. No injustice is done to minorities. In fact they will get more justice.”

Responding to the demand of Bunt community to form a separate corporation for them, Poojary said, “Bunts have always supported BJP and nationalism. We respect their emotions. We will verify their demand.”

Speaking on the ticket distribution matter, Srinivas said, “Decision will be taken keeping in mind the present MLAs and aspirants. Some surveys are done by central leaders. The opinion of the party workers will also be considered. Tomorrow and day after the opinion collection of party workers of every constituency is going to take place. Then a final decision will be arrived at. We will get a clear mandate in the state by winning 150 seats.”
