Udupi: Absconding accused in cattle theft case arrested after two years

Udupi, Apr 1: An accused who was absconding without attending court hearing since two years in connection with a cattle theft case under Shirva police station limits was arrested and produced in the court by the police. He is sent to judicial custody.

Husain Kabeer, a resident of the vicinity of St Joseph Church, Jokattte Kalvara of Bala village, is the accused arrested by ASI Vivekananda and PCs Raghu, Rithesh and Akil at Jokatte on Friday March 31.

Husain carries cases on him at Kaup, Karkala, Gangolli, Bhatkal city and Venur police stations which are pending for inquiry. He also had cases against him at Hiriyadka, Padubidri, Manipal, Ajekaru, Mangaluru, Surathkal, Koppa and Sringeri police stations the inquiry of which are completed.
