Good Friday observed with Way of the Cross at churches across Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Apr 7: Good Friday happens to be one of the most important days in the Christian calendar. This year, it falls on April 7, and parishes all over have been observing the occasion.

Thousands of devotees have been flocking their respective churches to take part in the Good Friday prayer service.

Way of the Cross, with which the occasion begins, started early in some of the churches while in some, it is held later in the day.

The main service on Good Friday begins after 4 pm in churches.

The church service will include reading of the Passion of Christ, reciting a string of prayers, unveiling and veneration of the Cross and communion service.

    Very good explanation Calvin. Many don’t know the meaning of Good Friday and our saviour sacrifice on cross. Once anyone understands it they will follow Jesus Christ

    Everything of the Old Creation Life( sin,old nature, curse, sickness) was terminated in HIM at the cross. That is why Good Friday is referred to as Good. Romans 6:23 ;Romans 5:1 ; 2 Corinthians 5:21;Galatians 2:20-21; Galatians 3:13; Colossians 2:15
