Karnataka Sangha Dubai hosts Holy Iftar Meet 2023

Dubai, Apr 10: Karnataka Sangha Dubai (KSD), Dubai’s first ever Kannadiga association founded in the year 1985 has been serving the community’s welfare and promotion of Kannada and its culture in Dubai, celebrated all religion 'Holy Iftar Meet – 2023' at House of Spice Restaurant, Dubai, UAE.

KSD’s Holy Iftar Meet – 2023 started with welcome note by general secretary of KSD Manohar Hegde, and vice president Daya Kirodian gave a detailed introduction to the new members about KSD patron Dr B K Yousaf and the community leaders Abdul Lathif Mulky vice president of BCF, Dr Kaup Mohammed vice president of BCF and ME Muloor, the advisor of Karnatka Sangha Sharjah.

Dr B K Yousaf , recalled his old memories when being the president of KSD and expressed satisfaction that his successors are bringing the KSD back to its glory. Lathif Mulky and Dr Kaup Mohammed congratulated Karnataka Sangha Dubai for this initiation to conduct the iftar meet – 2023 with multi religion gathering and wished all success for its future events.

KSD president Shashidhar Nagarajappa in his address expressed deep gratitude to the community support and cooperation extended by the BCF, KSD Sharjah and other Kannadiga associations in the UAE, he further explained the need for all organizations to come together to serve the society. In his words “during the auspicious month of Ramadan, everyone who practices caring and sharing month will be blessed by the almighty” and called for peace and harmony.

ME Muloor congratulated Karnataka Sangha Dubai and its newly formed executive committee of elaborated the real meaning behind the Iftar and fasting. Adding his words he said, fasting is made to realize the difficulties of life and other poor human beings who are struggling to get their livelihood. The one-month sacrifice should create internal changes and it must reflect in our daily activities.

It was an exclusive event of KSD’s executive members attended by treasurer Nagaraj Rao, emergency help and community service secretaries Hidayath Adduru and Siddalingesh BR, Ladies wing secretary Radika Satish, public relations secretary Mamatha Senthil, entertainment secretaries Ravi Kotian and Yuvaraj Devadiga, stage and venue secretaries Lawrance Nazreth and Sunil Gavaskar, dignitaries and membership secretary KM Ashraf, foreign and guest coordination secretary Peter Joyson were present. Executive team congratulated KSD for this initiation to conduct the Iftar meet with multi religion gathering and wished all success for its future events.

Join secretary Mallikarjuna Gowder has concluded the event with vote of thanks to the guests, office bearers and the executive committee.
