Udupi: Rider seriously injured in scooter-pick-up collision

Udupi, Apr 11: In an accident that occurred on Monday April 10 evening near Ermalu Kalsanka between a pick-up vehicle and a scooter, the rider of the two wheeler received grievous injuries to his head and was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Vijaya Poojary (68), a resident of Palimaru is the person who is seriously injured in the accident.

Vijaya was returning to Palimaru from Udupi. He was in government service in Mumbai. After retirement, he came back to his native place Palimaru and is residing there at present. His scooter was stuck below the pick-up van due to the impact of the collision.

Padubidri police have registered a case in this regard.
