Kundapur, Apr 11: In a bizarre incident that is reported from Belve village of Siddapur in the taluk, a woman cheated her own elder sister for Rs 13.5 lac on the pretext of searching for a groom.

A case in this connection is filed by Gummala Saroja on her younger sister Savita in Shankaranarayana police station.

It is accused that Savita, along with Kiran and Srinivasa, used to ask for money repeatedly on the pretext of finding a suitable groom to Saroja, elder sister of Savita. Saroja, who was fooled by the sweet talk of her younger sister Savita, transferred an amount of Rs 13,59,500 to Savita’s bank account.

In addition, it is also alleged by Saroja that Savita took gold bangles worth Rs three lac and necklace on the pretext of attending a marriage function and did not return. The gold is pledged at Vijaya Bank of Mulki as per the complainant. Accused Savita along with Kiran and Srinivasa threatened complainant Saroja with life when she asked to return the money and gold ornaments.

Shankaranarayana police are investigating.

    When it is question of gold ,money or land goes ,relationship or friendship will go in the background and forget.One even doesnt stay back to kill even own brother ,sister here.One has to be careful.Why that elder sister extended money in previously in a bulg I dont understand.Now she can only hope to get some part atleast.

    Younger sister cannot be a bad all of a sudden! She must be like that since the beginning but when you are in Love with someone(in this case sister), our mind will only see positive aspect of that person, ignoring all negative character!!! One will come into senses only when some drastic situation happens!

    Kiran and Srinivasa persuaded/threatened Savita and used her as a bank ATM to extract money from Saroja. Most of the times, all blood relationships are proved to be fake. Name sake only brothers and sisters because all stay in the same house ...mother's womb for 9 months. Once they get matured govinda re gopala.     With two men in the loop and the marital status of the younger sister not known, it appears to be some sort of a jhumla wherein the morality of the younger sister is questionable! Also from where did the elder sister have so much money and gold at her disposal??
