Remove Union Home Minister, Insists Joshi

Ranchi, Jul 2: Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi today demanded the removal of union home minister P Chidambaram from his ministry as he is facing different allegations.

Joshi’s demand was put forth in the midst of reports that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh might reshuffle his cabinet.

Addressing a news conference, Joshi pointed out the number of allegations leveled against Chidambaram which included Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s election scam against him.

He was the Finance Minister during 2-G Sepctrum scam and is Home Minister when the controversial wrong list (of terrorists) was submitted to Pakistan, he noted and said that he should not be in the cabinet following all these serious charges against him.
