Mangaluru, Apr 12: Superintendent of Police (Lokayukta) C A Simon has urged the public to utilize the opportunity to voice their grievances in the public grievance meetings arranged by the Lokayukta police.
He made this appeal while addressing the media after receiving various complaints from the public at the Taluk office on Wednesday, April 12.
The Lokayukta police will conduct grievance meetings every second Wednesday of the month, and the public is urged to take advantage of these meetings to raise complaints related to corruption, such as officials delaying work, rejecting applications without valid reasons, or demanding bribes.
SP Simon stated that the Lokayukta is ready to address grievances and solve the problems, but people need to come forward with valid documents to file complaints. If the complaint is valid, they will be provided with forms no.1 (complaint) and 2 (complaint's affidavit).
He also highlighted that the Lokayukta is focusing on disposing of pending cases.
The event was attended by DySPs Kalavathi and Cheluvaraj, as well as inspectors Ammanulaha and Vinayaka Billava.
