Bantwal, April 12: Deputy opposition leader in Assembly and Congress candidate for Ullal constituency U T Khader called on veteran Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary at the latter's residence on Wednesday, April 12 and obtained his blessings. Poojary blessed U T Khader that he should get elected with a landslide victory.

U T Khader said he has come to seek guidance, advice, suggestions and blessings from the senior Congress leader who has made immense contribution for the growth of the party and the coastal region. “Poojary was instrumental in my growth and initiation into politics as a student. In response to an an allegation that he takes blessings from the senior leader only during elections, he said that the propaganda by BJP was false. “BJP activists who brandished knives and sent threatening letters are in prison,” he said.
