Bangalore: 'Report on Mining Scam Before End of my Term ' - Lokayukta

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Jul 4: Karnataka Lokayukta, Justice N Saotosh Hegde, reiterated that the Lokayukta's final report on mining scam in the state will be submitted to the government before his term comes to an end later this year. He was speaking to the press persons on Sunday July 3.

"I have certain commitments. I cannot change the timing or contents of the report for the fear of criticism by a few people, or under pressure brought about by people who have been issuing statements in this regard. I  want to affirm that the report will be completed and submitted before my term," he clarified.

Hegde said that before finalizing the report, in-depth investigation needs to be conducted in certain areas, and that the Lokayukta is involved with these investigations at present. "Although I cannot set any time limit for me to  hand over the report,  I can say for sure that it will be done before my term comes to an end," he added, insisting that the report will be a fitting response to those who have been criticizing the functioning of the Lokayukta.

He noted that almost all the political parties have been seeing him as discharging the role of opposition leader. "Through various forums, different political personalities including B K Hariprasad, Digvijay Singh, Kapil Sibal, Veerappa Moily, Janardhan Poojary and BJP national president, Nitin Gadkari, have expressed their opinion that I have been affectively donning the role of the oppositon leader in the state. At present, Congress is gradually acquiring this status and reputation," he felt.

Justice S. Hegde will not do anything which is not liked by Mr. LK Advani, because he had taken back his resignation at Advani's request. Can we expect justice from such a gentleman?

We can smell something fishy here. Santosh Hegde might have achieved respect for his work in the past but he was never straightforward as Lokyukta in Karnataka. He is a puppet of one of the political parties and he could be more dangerous to our country than existing corrupt political leaders

    Dear Friends,
Have patience with Justice Hegde. It is better take time and do a proper job than doing it in hurry. I don't think Lokayukta Justice Hegde's need to prove his integrity to anyone.

Everyone in India (99.999% of the People) is engaged in practices which are directly and indirectly responsible for the generation of black money. This illegal money not necessarily goes to the Swiss banks. Most of the money is being invested in gold, real estate and many unauthorized investment schemes. No wonder we see lot of investment scams and increased activity in recent times. I am sure the black money which is in circulation in India is at least 10 times that of lying in Swiss banks.

Do you professionally follow the anticidents of your father late Justice K.S Heggde - who grappled BJP after a conflict on judicial appointment with late Indira Gandhi! Or You want L.K. Advani's support for Lokpal during mansoon session of the Parliment in August, and for that sake you want to delay this report which is widely thought as a hammer on the BJP's image ?

Mr. Heggde, with all respect to you, your sudden decision to delay the submission of the report from the earlier scheduled date 30-06-2011, common sense prevalis me to ask you

    1. whether you want to keep BJP in non controversy and safe from embarassment from Congress/UPA, atleast till the Lokpal Thamasha that will begin in the Mansoon session of parliment, where your team has sought help from BJP to support your draft bill??

    2. You may be looking for second term, and till this notification or official request from Government comes, you want either delay the report or change...?

    3. You must have been requested to delay the report by your most admired "Fatherly adored" (in your own words) Mr. L.K. Advani, whom you also said some time back as a good friend of your father (late Justice K.S Heggde), becoz of whom you even withdrawn your resignation some time back ???

MR Hegde' Justice delayed is justice denied! Therefore need to expedite the illegal mining cases to be charge sheeted without time waste. We are fed up with the corruptions charges against Yeddy and his dozens of cabinet members yet they were roaming and enjoying powers as if nothing is happened.

The latest corruption charges against Yeddy is sanctioning Z category sites to his 10 immediate family members in MYSORE and that cases must be probed by Lokayukta.Yeddy is looting whatever available @ his disposal in the name of democracy.

Sir, if you will not act now, and if you wait for your end of term, which we don't know what prompt you to make such timing will question your credibility, if not integrity and we request you to charge sheet these corrupt reigning ministers of Karnataka ASAP.
