Mangaluru: Possibility of rain, yellow alert declared in coastal region

Mangaluru, Apr 15: People of the coastal region, suffering from severe heat for a few days, can expect possible rain in the next four to five days according to the information given by the weather department.

There is a possibility that moderate rain with thunder and lightning will lash the coastal region in the next four to five days. From April 15 to 18, the rain will shower in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts. A yellow alert is declared on these four days. Winds with velocity of 30 to 40 km per hour are also expected.

In addition to the coastal belt, rains are expected to lash south and north interior parts of Karnataka. Mercury soared in both Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Friday with cloudy weather increasing the humidity. In Mangaluru 33.9 deg C highest and 26.1 deg C lowest temperature were recorded on Friday.

    Cynthia, I don't know who are sitting in that office issuing useless alerts! For that matter, any experienced farmer could tell you that premonsoon rain is expected anytime due to the intense heat and cloudy climate!

    Rudy sir, why experienced farmer ? Even i can predict. Whenever i predicted, it became right than IMD. Morning/evening getting cloudy with unbearable heat during the da. Since past ten days extreme heat....it might rain within 4 days. 2 days before medium lightning/thundering was there...Its not pre monsoon. Pre monsoon should have come feb/march. Now proper monsoon mungaru male bro. You wont come to know in canada...i will let you know...

    Cynthia DK ,mostly the day before starts to rain Ittiri bird will fly away crying to other place.Thats sure next day will rain .Thats mostly farmers say . I experienced that too.Even you hear Sea s uproar previous day .Now times have changed ,weather too.climate changed.(People too)
