Mangalore: Sorcery Signs in Front of MCC Building Raises Questions

Mangalore, Jul 5: It appears that some miscreants had performed rituals relating to black magic in front of the Mangalore city corporation building at Lalabagh here, in the wee hours of Tuesday July 5.

This reminds one of similar rituals that had been performed in front of Vidhana Soudha in Bangalore a few months ago.

The municipal building here has been provided with the services of night watchmen. Those practising witchcraft seem to have conducted rituals when the security men were not awake. The incident, which has occurred on a busy road in front of the city corporation building, has raised concerns about the efficacy of the security personnel and the amount of their vigil. Vermillion, turmeric powder, pieces of sliced lemon, crushed ash gourd etc were seen strewn around at the spot on Tuesday morning. These things are normally used by sorcerers.

The attention of road users was attracted towards these items since early morning today, as everyone is aware that the existence of these items gives an indication of witchcraft. Even the motorists stopped their vehicles briefly to have a glimpse of what had happened.

To avoid the issue getting blown out of proportions, the security personnel poured water on the items. Interestingly, the paraphernalia relating to black magic were found at the spot where the city mayor parks his car.
