Sullia, Apr 23: In a unique occurrence reported from the taluk, a mother and daughter duo have passed their PU exams together.
Geetha, a home guard and mother to Trisha, appeared as a private student for the second PU arts examination at the age of 45. Two years ago, Geetha wrote the SSLC exam alongside her daughter.
Geetha's daughter Trisha is currently studying commerce in junior college in Sullia. Geetha had given up her studies during high school 25 years ago, but with the help of college lecturers, she was able to prepare for the exams by providing her with books and guidance.
Geetha and Trisha's achievement is an inspiration to all those who have put their education on hold, and a testament to the power of determination and perseverance.
