Kasaragod: 3 die, 3 injured in road mishap as car falls into roadside pit

Kasargod, Apr 23: Three people, all graduation students from here, died and three others were seriously injured after a car fell into a pit on Sunday, April 23, in the evening.

The accident occurred as the car driver lost control of the vehicle and hit an electric pole before falling into a pit on the roadside. 

Sneha Jose (20), Jisna Mary Joseph (20) and Adon Besti (20) of Kasaragod's Vellarikandu are identified as the deceased. They were third year undergraduate students of Don Bosco College of Angadi Kadav in Kannur.

Adon's sister Deona Besti, Sneha's sister Sona Joseph and Sanjo Jose were injured and admitted to a local private hospital.

The accident took place while the passengers were traveling to Malayathuri.

    It is a sad incident. It should not have happened but it happened. There may be several reasons for this deadly accident in which three young lives perished and three are fighting for their lives. RIP those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery of the injured.
