Mangaluru, Apr 26: Congress candidate for Mangaluru North Constituency, Inayat Ali, campaigned extensively in the Katipalla, Idya, Hosabettu, Kulai, Baikampadi, and Panambur areas on Wednesday, April 26 morning.
Speaking with the media, he stated that his aim was to make Mangaluru North a model constituency in the future. With a direct competition between Congress and BJP in the constituency, their workers are working tirelessly to connect with every household through the Congress Guarantee Campaign. He added that people are aware of the challenges they face under the current anti-people BJP government, with issues like inflation, unemployment, and other burdens affecting them.
"If the Congress government comes to power, we will ensure a secure government that caters to all castes and communities, and helps the youth, students, and housewives. People need not fear in any way while living their lives," he said.
During his visit to Sirigala Beedu of Katipalla Janata Colony and Koragajja constituency of Ashraya Colony, he offered special prayers and received prasada. KPCC spokesperson Pratibha Kulai, Jalil Badria, Suratkal Block Minority Unit President Muhammad Sameer Katipalla, Raghavendra Rao, and others were present.
'Only Bawa is gone, no loss to the party!'
Regarding Moideen Bawa's departure from the Congress party, Inayat Ali said, "Only Bawa has left the party, accompanied by a handful of leaders who were with him in the past. People will not support the JDS party, and Bawa can get only 500-1000 votes. We had over 10 ticket aspirants, and the party has given the ticket to me only. The others have not left the party because of this. They are involved in door-to-door campaigning with me everyday, and there is no problem with Bawa leaving the party."
