Beed (Maharashtra), Jul 8: A class 10 student was ruthlessly murdered by Jeevan Aba Kale, a second year DEd student for resisiting molestation in Nandurghat village of Kaij Tehsil district here on Thursday July 7.
Police sources said that the girl, Sadhana, had put up a struggle when Jeevan tried to molest her late on Wednesday July 6.
When she resisted him, the accused poured kerosene on her and set her on fire.
Sadhana is said to have died on the spot.
It is learnt that Jeevan was Sadhana's neighbour and the incident took place in her house.
A police official said that the accused has been absconding.
